Business Broadband

Pennycom Communications Business Broadband is the way forward for the modern business. We will help you demystify the terminology and the technology.

Pennycom Communications Business Broadband is a true Business service - we do not have thousands of residential customers using our service and hence slowing the speeds you receive. How does it work? We manage our own Business Broadband 'pipe' which connects into BT. This means we are able to control the number of users accessing our service in each area of the country therefore ensuring you receive a quality connection.

Pennycom Communications Business Broadband comes in four variants:

1. ADSL
   this is the standard business broadband service with download (receive) speeds of up to 8MB and upload (send) speeds of up to 832kb. Available in most parts of the UK.
2. SDSL
   this is a premium business broadband service with download (receive) and upload (send) speeds the same. Speeds from ½ MB to 2MB are offered but are not available in every area. A dedicated telephone line is required for this service.
3. LLU
   this is an advanced business broadband service and is available where we have been able to install our own equipment in BT's exchanges thus removing BT entirely from the service. Because we have complete control of the service to you, this will allow us to be able to offer you a variety of advanced services (see also IP Telephony). This service is not yet available in every area.
4. Mobile Broadband
   with the advent of 3G networks, mobile broadband is a real option for todays businesses, whether for use with a Laptop or for fixed networks through a 3G router.
