09 Premium Rate Services

Pennycom Communications has many years experience dealing with Premium Rate Services and with ICSTIS (the industry regulator).

Each year in the UK, millions of calls are made to Premium Rate numbers and consumers more readily accept and are happy to pay for the services they receive.

Some Premium Rate Services require a licence from the Industry Regulator, which can take up to 10 weeks to be issued. There are, however, many services where a licence is not required. (Contact us to check whether a licence is required.)

Premium Rate Services are available as the following options:-

  1. Where you answer the call yourself.
  2. Where you answer the call yourself and it is for adult services.
  3. Where you record a message yourself.
  4. Where you simply advertise a pre-recorded service.
  5. SMS response service e.g. competition line, mobile ringtones etc.

You choose how much you want your customer to pay when they call you from 5p per minute to 150p per minute. The call/SMS rate will determine the revenue payment back to you, which is paid to you monthly in arrears.

Typical Premium Rate Services include: technical helplines, brochure requests, competitions, mobile content, adult services etc.
